Setup & Monitoring Tips

Current rating versus battery capacity: The 300A rating is the maximum continuous circuit current, not a 300Ah battery-bank limit. Choose a system within both the current limit and the 1–6,500Ah capacity setting range.

State-of-charge setup: Enter the battery's rated capacity during setup. The shunt calculates readings from current and voltage rather than a battery-chemistry program. Follow the setup instructions to calibrate state of charge after a full charge, and update capacity settings as the battery ages.

Reading issues: Reversed charge/discharge readings can indicate incorrect B- or P terminal connections. Incorrect temperature readings may indicate a temperature-sensor installation issue. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions before adjusting wiring.

Connection issues: Check Renogy ONE Core firmware and follow the manufacturer's pairing and reset instructions. If state-of-charge alarms reset or readings remain abnormal, consult Renogy technical support. Ensure adequate ventilation around the shunt.
