Choose the Renogy Rover Li MPPT Solar Charge Controller that fits your battery system and solar array, with 30A, 40A, 60A and 100A options. Maximum Power Point Tracking adjusts to changing panel conditions to help capture available solar energy for battery charging.
For an RV or off-grid installation, select your controller around the battery-bank voltage and array limits, then plan compatible monitoring equipment so you can check system performance more easily.
Choose Your Controller
- Available charge-current options: 30A, 40A, 60A or 100A.
- The amperage designation refers to the controller's rated charging output, not a universal load-terminal rating.
- Battery-system voltages, PV voltage limits, array wattage limits and accessories vary by model.
Renogy ONE Core & Remote Monitoring
This listing references Renogy ONE Core monitoring. However, the supplied package list identifies a 40A controller, temperature sensor and mounting brackets, and labels the BT-2 Bluetooth module as optional; it does not explicitly list ONE Core as included. Confirm the selected package contents rather than assuming the display or Bluetooth module comes with every amperage option.
The supplied 40A description lists remote monitoring and parameter adjustment through a compatible BT-2 module and DC Home app, as well as Renogy ONE M1 communication. Confirm the required connection method and accessories for Renogy ONE Core and the selected controller before purchase. Do not assume Bluetooth is built in.
40A Model Features
- MPPT charging: Listed tracking efficiency up to 99% and peak conversion efficiency of 98%, not guaranteed whole-system efficiency.
- Battery profiles: Supports compatible Gel, flooded, sealed lead-acid and lithium batteries with the appropriate settings.
- System-voltage detection: Automatic 12V/24V detection for non-lithium batteries; configure lithium voltage manually as instructed.
- Charging stages: Lead-acid Bulk, Absorption, Float and Equalization where appropriate to the battery profile; lithium Bulk and Absorption, plus lithium reactivation.
- On-controller information: LCD and LED indicators show charging and battery information, parameters and error codes.
- Heat management: Die-cast aluminum housing supports heat dissipation.
- Protection functions: Listed protections include reverse polarity, overcharging, over-discharging, overload, short circuit and reverse current, subject to correct wiring and supported connections.
- Load controls: Supported load-terminal functions can provide timed DC load control. Follow the separate load-terminal rating rather than assuming it equals the charging rating.

Installation Planning
Panels may be arranged in series, parallel or series-parallel only when the selected controller's voltage, current and power limits are satisfied. For the 40A model, keep array open-circuit voltage below the 100V input limit with allowance for cold-weather voltage rise, and observe the 520W/1,040W input-power limits for the relevant battery voltage.
Install the required external fuse or breaker between the battery and controller according to the model-specific manual and cable ratings. The supplied 40A FAQ recommends a 40A ANL fuse; confirm the appropriate protection for your wiring and selected model rather than relying on the controller as a substitute for external circuit protection.
